Virtual mental health services to get convenient help that you need with Talkspace
- 3 months of access to a licensed therapist
- 2 virtual visits per month and regular text
- audio and video messaging to your therapist for an additional $50 each month
- After 3 months, you can do this at a rate of $200 per month.
Note: Psychiatrists are specialists and therefore subject to the $50 copay
Major Medical included in the membership
This plan offers a $1000, $2500 or $5000 IUA, this is the amount you would be responsible for if you need a surgery or hospitalization. This is up to 3x in a calendar year.
Example: If you choose the $1,000 IUA and you break your leg and need surgery, medical expenses total $10,000. Your cost for this medical need is capped at $1,000. including follow up care, provider visits and physical therapy, if needed
TIP: If you select the $5,000 IUA, you may be saving monthly, but if your family has 3 major medical years in a year that totals $15,000 out of pocket.
Open Network
Zion HealthShare is not health insurance, there is no network limitations. Members can go to any healthcare provider within the US and Puerto Rico. The healthcare provider must be a licensed medical professional in the location where services are received and provide medically necessary evaluations and treatment to be considered eligible for sharing.

Rx
Access to discounted prescriptions from any pharmacy through Zion RxShare powered by Rx Valet.
1. Simply type in the medication name on your prescription.
2. Enter the dose (strength, mg, etc.) and quantity prescribed.
3. Choose your savings option and save up to 80% on your medications.
Pre-Membership
To keep membership contributions low for all members, they implement a waiting period for sharing of medical conditions that existed prior to a member’s membership start date. They call such medical conditions: pre-membership medical conditions.
A pre-membership medical condition is any illness or injury for which a person has been examined, been diagnosed, taken medication, had symptoms, or received medical treatment within the 24 months prior to their membership start date. Sharing requests related to pre-membership medical conditions are only shareable if the condition was regarded as cured and did not require treatment or present symptoms for 24 months prior to the membership start date.
Shareable amounts for pre-membership medical conditions:
- Year One: $0 (waiting period)
- Year Two: $25,000 maximum per sharing request
- Year Three: $50,000 maximum per sharing request
- Year Four: $125,000 maximum per sharing request
After four years of membership, expenses related to pre-membership medical conditions will be shareable up to a maximum of $125,000 in a 12-month period. The shareable maximum resets each membership year.
Please Note: pre-membership medical conditions may still qualify for sharing through the Additional Giving fund.
Exceptions for High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, & Diabetes
High blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes (types 1 and 2) are not considered pre-membership medical conditions as long as
1) the member has not been hospitalized for the condition in the 12 months prior to joining, and
2) the member is able to control the condition through medication or diet.

While insurance has max out of pockets and deductibles, indipop plans have IUA’s, Initial Unshareable Amount. The IUA follows the medical need rather than the calendar year. So, if you break your leg in December, you don’t pay for it again in January, unlike a deductible which would start at $0 in January.
